I brought my vehicle to the shop due to a clunking noise on the front left and mentioned that the RPMs were lagging during shifts. Typically, I would expect the RPMs to drop when pressing the clutch to change gears, but they weren?t. The shop diagnosed the noise as ?rocks or a large rock on the skid plate,? and attributed the RPM issue to the ?electronic throttle body. After my assessment, the check engine light eventually came on, showing a ?system too lean, bank 1? code. Through a process of elimination, I confirmed my diagnosis. While I am not an automotive technician (I operate machinery professionally), it?s concerning that I was able to diagnose these issues more accurately than a shop with certified technicians.....Read More
